Aidiladha

It was a couple of days before Hari Raya Aidiladha when we went back. Instead of leaving in the morning, we left around late noon since Mama still have to work in the morning. And as usual we will always make a stop at Ipoh. Well, Tanah Tumpah Darahku papa la katakan. Berhenti sembahyang then eat dinner. We have our dinner at this roadside stall. And the most funny thing happened there. The Tom Yam that Sabrina ordered was really tasteless. So mama asked for some salt from the owner. And she put some in Sabrina's Tom Yam. The cooked was like smiling and looking at us. Even some of the customers can't help but stare at us. Macam rusa masuk kampung dah kitaorang ni. And we were like talking in KL slang. Nampak beno orang luar nye. The owner eventually gave a discount when we paid. Hahaha.

We arrived in Kedah a few minutes before midnight. Everyone else was already asleep so we got our stuff and called it a night.

It's always nice to be in Kedah early. We get to help with the raya preparation. And we also get to see other family members arriving. We were usually the last one to arrived. So yeah, it was a change.

The night before raya, me and the other girls slept in Mak Jang's abode which is like less than 10 minutes away. We did that because we don't want to fight for the toilet the next morning. And we have some trouble with the water. Only a few lucky ones will get to have a shower, the rest mandi air kolah je la.

This kid here is always bullied by other people. Well, since his the youngest of course.

Macam orang tak ada gigi. Haha.

Buat muka comel la pulakk. 

We also played firecrackers during the day. *wink*

Good internet connection can only be obtained outside the house.

Couldn't get any decent picture without this kid doing some weird expression.

I accidently slept in the next day. And when I woke up I found them outside looking like this.

They went hunting. Dapat dua ekor bangau pulak. And from the picture above you can see Adam punya kaki penuh dengan selut sebab turun bendang nak tangkap bangau. Those poor creature.

During night time pulak, we had our usual family barbeque.

Bab and Wan are the cook for the night.

We have chicken, Satah, prawn, lamb and cow meat.

The best place to get internet connection is under the rambutan tree. And it's the first place we'll go if Papa is no where to be found.

We made our way home on Tuesday morning. And I requested Papa whether we can stop at Kuala Kangsar to just visit some of the interesting places. Since we are not in any hurry, he agreed.

After a quick stop in Kuala Kangsar, we head to Ipoh for a lunch. My parents were dying to try the famous Ipohs' Nasi Ganja. It's not really rice with weed, it is actually something like Nasi Kandar. And it doesn't taste that bad either. When we had finish our lunch we went to the Masjid Negeri for Zuhur prayers before continuing the journey back home.

From what you have read, now you know why a journey that should have taken only 5 hours became 8. Hehe. Hope you all have a nice Raya like I did ! :)
